Terms & Warranty
In short: your quote is based on the photos and information you send us. We verify measurements with satellite imagery and on site, and if anything doesn’t match, we update your quote before any work starts. Lights, controller and power supply carry a 5-year limited warranty; weather, natural disasters and other events outside our control are not covered. Your signed written agreement is the final word.
1. Quotes
- Quotes are prepared from the photos, address and answers you provide. We may use satellite and street-level imagery (for example Google Maps) to check measurements.
- Every quote is confirmed on site before installation. If the actual roofline, height, access or condition of the house is different from what we quoted, we will give you a revised written quote first. You may accept it or cancel at no charge.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless a different date is written on the quote. Prices on the website are starting prices and may change.
- Only items written on your quote are included. Anything else is extra and will be quoted in writing before we do it.
2. What’s included — and what isn’t
Included in a standard install: lights, aluminum track color-matched to your trim, controller, power supply, app setup, and installation on accessible fascia or soffit of homes up to 2 floors.
Not included unless written on your quote:
- Homes taller than 2 floors, steep or hard-to-reach areas that need lifts or special equipment.
- Repair or replacement of rotted, loose or damaged fascia, soffit, trim or gutters.
- New outdoor outlets or any line-voltage electrical work (done by a licensed electrician if needed).
- Permits, HOA approvals or fees, and removal of existing lights.
- Travel to homes outside our standard service area — a travel fee may apply and will be shown on your quote.
- Service calls outside the warranty, changes after installation, and moving lights later.
3. Scheduling & payment
- Deposit, balance and payment due dates are written on your quote or agreement. Your install date is reserved once the deposit is received.
- Install dates can move because of weather, safety or material delays. We will reschedule with you as soon as possible; this is not a breach of the agreement.
- If you sign a home improvement contract, you may cancel within the period stated in your contract, as required by New Jersey law.
4. Warranty
- Products — 5-year limited warranty on the lights, controller and power supply we install, starting on the install date, against defects under normal use.
- Installation workmanship — 1 year from the install date. During this time, warranty repairs are free (parts and labor).
- After the first year, covered parts are still replaced free under the product warranty, and a service call fee applies for the visit. We tell you the fee before we come.
- We repair or replace defective parts at our choice. Replacement parts may be a newer or equivalent model and are covered for the rest of the original warranty.
- To make a claim, text us or email [email protected] with your address and a photo or short video of the problem.
- After the warranty ends, repairs and service calls are billed at our current rates, and we always quote you before any work.
5. What the warranty does not cover
- Weather and acts of nature: storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, high wind, hail, lightning, flooding, ice and snow load, falling trees or branches, earthquakes.
- Fire, power surges, power outages, faulty house wiring or outlets.
- Animals and pests, accidents, vandalism, theft, pressure washing, or impact from ladders, vehicles or equipment.
- Roof, gutter, siding or painting work by others, and any change, repair or removal of the system by anyone other than us.
- Normal wear and fading, and damage to the house itself not caused by our installation.
- Wi-Fi or internet problems, phone or router changes, and changes or outages of the manufacturer’s app or cloud service.
6. Liability & events outside our control
- KConnect Tech LLC carries general liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request before we start.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, supply shortages, utility failures or government orders.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the work, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
7. Your part
- Give us accurate photos and information, safe access to the house, and an outdoor power outlet (or approve an outlet installed by an electrician).
- Get any HOA or landlord approval you need. Keep pets inside and the work area clear on install day.
- Tell us about known issues with your roof edge, gutters or wiring before we start.
8. Photos & privacy
- Photos and details you send are used to prepare your quote and are kept with your quote record. We never sell your information.
- We only share photos of your home publicly (for example on social media) with your permission.
9. Website
- Photos on this website show example lighting looks; your result depends on your house and settings.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. If anything in your signed agreement differs from this page, the signed agreement controls.
